After just two years of marriage, Jeannie Mai and Jeezy, the 45-year-old rapper also known as Jay Wayne Jenkins, have decided to divorce.
Jeezy officially filed for divorce in Georgia’s Superior Court of Fulton County, citing that “the marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken” with no chance for reconciliation.
In the divorce documents, Jeezy is requesting joint legal custody of their daughter, born in January 2022, and is confident that their prenuptial agreement will be upheld.
Their union was a low-key affair in 2021, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Interestingly, their engagement took place during quarantine a year earlier
