Fijai, Western Region – In a gesture of altruism, former Black Queens coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has donated to the final year students of her alma mater, Fijai Senior High School, in the Western Region. The donation, aimed at augmenting the students’ nutritional intake and academic success, was made on Monday, June 24.
Accompanied by Adwoa Bayor, a former African Footballer of the Year, and Nana Ama, a former Black Queens player, Tagoe-Quarcoo visited the school to present the donation. Hon. Mercy Quarshie, the former Assembly Member for the Presby Electoral Area and the senior sister of Nana Ama, also graced the ceremony with her presence.
The donation is intended to enable the students to maintain a balanced diet and excel in the forthcoming West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). “I am compelled to support my alma mater and contribute to the students’ success in their exams,” Tagoe-Quarcoo remarked. “I firmly believe in giving back to my community, and I am delighted to be joined by my colleagues and family in this endeavor.
