Ghanaian gospel diva, Piesie Esther, has detailed the reason behind the release of her
According to her, even though she has quite a number of hit songs, ‘Way3 Me Yie’ is her biggest song so far, adding that she never thought it will do as well as it did when it was released. She revealed that ‘Way3 Me Yie’ tells her life story as well as how far God has brought her.
The reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) ‘Gospel Artiste Of The Year’, further stated that she decided to thank her maker for his sufficient grace and for allowing the 2023 VGMA ‘Gospel Song Of The Year’ find favour in the eyes of Ghanaians and many others, thus the release of her latest song ‘Mo’.
Piesie Esther speaking in an exclusive interview with Serwaa Amihere on GHOne TV about her new song, the renowned singer said;
“God has done an amazing thing, so all i wanted to tell him was ‘Thank You’ to with ‘Mo’ or well done. As you all know, ‘Way3 Me Yiye’ did so well. I will say its my biggest song so far.The song tells my life story of where I was and how far God has brought me.”
“So my new song ‘Mo’ is a way of saying thank you to God for that song because i wasn’t expecting ‘Way3 Me Yiye’ to be that huge. I wasn’t expecting it to be everybody’s favourite. You know, I have been singer for 20 years but it looks like I just released my first song. So it tells you God has been soo good,” she added.
