Veteran Kumawood actor, Agya Koo has recently claimed credit for introducing his colleague actress, Rose Mensah, popularly known as Kyeiwaa into the Ghanaian movie space, specifically Kumawood.
Agya Koo, a luminary in the Ghanaian film scene during an interview on Fox FM, shared insights into the early days of Kyeiwaa’s cinematic journey, shedding more light on the pivotal role he played in her entry into the well known industry.
According to him, he recognized Kyeiwaa’s talent and potential during a time when she was relatively unknown. Eager to enhance the richness of Kumawood productions, Agya Koo took it upon himself to bring Kyeiwaa into the spotlight, providing her with the platform to showcase her acting prowess.
The renowned actor, detailed that he met Kyeiwaa during one of his concerts and was impressed with her performance. He later spoke to a few people who got in touch and brought her to where he is. However, since she didn’t have a place to sleep, their colleague, Mercy Aseidu offered Kyeiwaa a place to sleep.
They then started acting together and that is how the actress went on to become a household name, celebrated for her exceptional acting skills and distinctive screen presence.
